We ship direct from Japan and make best efforts to despatch orders in a timely manner at the most reasonable cost.
Please note these changes since 2022 (post pandemic postal changes):
Japan Post is NOT SHIPPING Economy priced packages internationally. Japan Post only offers EMS, the Express service We use Fedex or EMS.
We require a phone number for all packages sent with FedEx.
For customers from the EU and UK - Any local taxes and duties will be charged to the customer upon collection of goods, we are not provided with the amount charged in advance.
The VAT laws for the EU (from July 2021) require customers to an additional tax. HOW will transact through the Etsy store, and collect that tax in the transaction from the Etsy store. If you ordered from the website store, HOW will manually make the transaction. Customers will not be required to pay VAT upon collection of goods (their order).
If your package is delayed, please check your tracking link first. If it has arrived in your country, the quickest way to find out is to contact your local post office and give them your Japan Post tracking number.
For Packages returned to our despatch in Kobe, Japan. Occasionally we have packages not collected by the consignee and it is returned to Japan. If it is because the consignee was notified by did not collect the package, we can re-send to the consignee at their expense. If we can re-sell the goods because they are unopened, HOW will refund cost of goods, but not cost of shipping.
